PAIN MANAGEMENT
I offer a natural solution to pain management. A big emphasis is taken on posture and human movement to find the root cause of your pain. Because pain is complex I also offer lifestyle and postural advice to improve your overall quality of life. The following treatment options involve the engagement of the nervous system so it is normal to feel post-treatment soreness for 24-48 hours followed by a reduction of pain and an increase in mobility. Generally, a series of treatments would be required to elevate your symptoms completely.
Remedial massage targets a specific condition and assists to relieve pain, dysfunction and muscle imbalance brought about by injury or everyday life. Remedial massage sessions include a postural analysis & a physical assessment prior to massage fora more accurate treatment plan.
Neuromuscular therapy (NMT) targets the nervous system (in addition to muscles, tendons and ligaments) and is specifically designed to relieve pain. Identifying and releasing trigger points is a significant aspect of NMT. Trigger points are hypersensitive knots that develop in injured tissue and if left untreated can irritate nerves, NMT also helps with ischemia (blood flow reduction)

Dry Needling therapy is primarily focused on the reduction of pain and restoration of function through the release of myofascial trigger points. A very effective technique that I like to use to release off tension in deeper muscles or for those who find deep pressure work too painful. At Elite massage dry needling is always incorporated into a massage session, calming down the nervous system and reducing any post-session soreness
you may experience.
